Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev secured his initial trophy for 882 days with success over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging period, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in especial - resulted in him falling of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-time coach Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court from spring of that year.
The win also indicates the Russian has secured twenty-one championships at twenty-one various tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," commented ranked player the champion.
"This title is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six finals, featuring in Halle in the past months.
The player's counter-punching approach and recurring emotional displays on court had caused commentators to doubt if his ability to perform at the highest level was finished.
However the player has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and play aggressively, supported by an better service.
He fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, taking 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped breaks in the second set before the challenger, striving for his first professional victory, gained dominance to push for a decider.
The opponent defended 4 initial break points in a close final set before Medvedev broke to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, the winner clinched victory with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
